Identifying Stress on the Job

Law enforcement officers face a multitude of stressful situations every single day – and it is not just from hunting down the bad guys. Rough schedules, lack of sleep and poor diet can all contribute to building stress – and stress on the job can be compounded if things aren’t ideal at home.

In order to get in, or stay in, the healthiest possible state – we need to work to minimize or eliminate excess stress. But before you can work to eliminate something, you need to be abble to identify the symptoms:


If you are experiencing these symptoms, chances are that your stress levels are too high. And while it is impossible to eliminate all stress, especially for those in such a physically and mentally demanding line of work, taking strides to manage that stress could save your life and the lives of those you signed on to protect.
